Songwriting & music productionSongwriting & Music Production Lessons
Write the song. Then record it, arrange it, and make it sound finished. Songwriting and production lessons taught inside a working recording studio in Athens — or on Zoom.
Taught by Nick Bradfield or Sean T. Conlon
Plenty of people have a phone full of voice memos and half-finished ideas. The hard part isn't having ideas — it's turning one into a finished song, and then a finished recording. These lessons are about finishing: structure, lyrics, melody, arrangement, and the production decisions that make a demo sound like a record.
In-person lessons happen at Rabbit Hole Studios, a real recording space, so you learn on the kind of setup the music actually gets made on. On Zoom, we work in your own software over screen share. Either way you leave each session with the song further along than when you arrived.
A real studio
Learn recording and production in a working studio, not from a tutorial with someone else's gear.
Built around finishing
Every session moves one of your songs forward. The goal is finished work, not more half-ideas.
Writing and production together
Where most teachers do one or the other, here the song and the sound get worked on as one thing.
Your setup, on Zoom
Remote lessons use screen share in the software you already have, so everything transfers to your home studio.
What songwriting & production lessons can cover
- Song structure, hooks, and why some choruses land
- Lyric writing, editing, and finding what you actually mean
- Melody and chord progressions that support each other
- Recording vocals and instruments at home or in the studio
- Arrangement: what to add, and — more often — what to cut
- Mixing basics: levels, EQ, compression, space, and the finished sound
