Who you'll learn fromTwo working musicians, one studio.
Athens Music Lyceum runs out of Rabbit Hole Studios on Winterville Road. We teach the instrument first — and then, for anyone who wants it, how to make a living from it.
Hi, I'm Nick.
I'm a musician and a songwriter, and for about ten years I've run Rabbit Hole Studios — five of those at other spots around Athens, and the last five at 1001 Winterville Rd. Full Moon Jams, song circles, drum circles... a lot of music has come through those doors.
I also run a few other businesses around town, a towing company and a watersports rental outfit among them. And I build the AI systems that handle a big chunk of the day-to-day work behind all of it — the bookkeeping, the marketing, the scheduling — and build the same kind of systems for other businesses through Bradfield Automations.
That's usually the part people don't expect from someone who teaches guitar. It's also the part most musicians never get taught, and watching talented players get taken advantage of — or just quietly give up because the money never worked — is a big reason this place exists. You should not have to choose between being good and being paid.
So that's how I teach: one-on-one, built around what you actually want to be able to do. Come for guitar. Stay for whatever's next.
